At Treashine, our pieces are beautifully crafted with a basis of 925 sterling silver and plated with a layer of lustrous 18ct gold. Given the nature of these materials, they are susceptible to fading over time due to oxidation. Several factors can contribute to this process, including environmental exposure, personal habits, and individual skin PH levels.

When you invest in a Treashine piece, we encourage you to follow our specially tailored care guidelines to ensure longevity and luster:

Proper Storage: Always store your jewellery pieces in a secure pouch, box, or air-tight container. These should be kept in an environment free from moisture and excessive heat, away from direct sunlight.

Routine Cleaning: Polish your jewellery regularly using a microfibre cloth or a designated jewellery polishing cloth to maintain its brightness. This can also help remove any chemical residues and prevent tarnish.

Minimal Contact: It's advisable to avoid contact with potentially harmful substances such as chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and even chlorinated or salt water.

Handling Precautions: Ensure that your hands are always dry and clean when handling your gold-plated jewellery. 

Considerate Use: We recommend that you remove your Treashine jewellery before sleeping, showering, or participating in any water-related activities. This helps to preserve the colour and integrity of your pieces.

Gemstone Care: Take extra precautions when handling your gemstones. These delicate elements may chip or become dislodged if mishandled or stored improperly.

Avoiding Damage: Keep your jewellery away from hard surfaces to prevent scratching, chipping, or chain breakage. Rings, in particular, require additional care due to their frequent contact with various surfaces. Please note that our warranty does not cover the removal of plating caused by regular wear and tear.

Sensitivity Management: If you experience skin irritation, you might consider applying a thin coat of clear nail polish over your jewellery to act as a barrier between your skin and the metal.
